Course Descriptions

Park Avenue Dance provides instruction in dance for all ages 3-103.  We teach in a positive, constructive, and non-competitive atmosphere with appropriate movement for young children through adults.  Styles of dance such as tap and modern for children begin at the developmentally appropriate age of 8 years.  We offer creative dance for ages 3-7 years providing a foundation for all of the styles of dance.

Children of all ages can experience the joy of dance through Park Avenue Dance Company's special parent/child workshops and children's creative ballet, creations, and pre-teen contemporary dance classes. Participants learn to use their bodies exploring space, time, and energy, their own creative capabilities, working as a group, and learning from each other.  Students learn fundamental dance skills, developing in a supportive and constructive atmosphere.
